Hot Shower Stretching

One of my favorite times to give myself self-care lovin’ is stretching during a hot shower (or immediately following the shower).

You should never stretch your muscles cold or not warmed up. Especially if you are about to workout or participate in an event. Completing a physical activity with cold muscles is a good way to get hurt.

While in the shower, I try to stretch all the major areas of my body. See below:

  • Hands

  • Forearms

  • Triceps

  • Biceps

  • Neck

  • Back

  • Glutes

  • Quads

  • Hamstrings

  • Calves

  • Arches of feet

All stretches can be done from a shower/bathtub chair.

*You know your body and what you are capable of, you do not need to do all of the stretches or push past your comfort level.
